I mean, being captured essentially means you are no longer at major risk of dieing, and wont have to worry about being eaten or dieing over dominance. The obvious drawback to this however would be being owned by someone, having to obey them most of the time, and generally not having absolute freedom. Sure you could be like team rocket's meowth and be a wild pokemon but live among humans, but thats more the exception then the rule.
I mean, also, if a pokemon has a good relationship with his/her trainer, they can have a nice, relativly free, happy life with their best friend and, in some cases, an even closer relationship (yes poke x human relationships are canon, get over it)
There are many pros and cons, but I feel like generally, alot of pokemon wouldnt mean being captured if it meant they have a chance at living in luxury and being cared for, and not worrying about being killed all the time.
