I'm working on a Ribbon Master from Colosseum right now. I view it as the highest "achievement" these games offer.

Not many game series allow you to collect achievements and pass them through each sequel.

Currently trying to get the rare berries for making high-level pokéblocks. The pokécoupons you need to buy them are insane.

I've posted on /vp/ about it a couple times in the past, but I'm using a Japanese Exclusive e-Reader+ Shiny Shadow Scizor from Colosseum.

It took me about two years off-and-on to get him. Already got both Colo ribbons and the Gen 3 Lv.50 battle tower ribbon.

This is a good guide, but I wish he had been more clear about the whole R/S vs Emerald battle tower situation. Because, while Emerald allows Lv.60 pokémon in the Open Level challenge, the AI is so much harder than the Ruby/Sapphire tower. I'd rather grind my team to Lv.100 than grind my head against the Emerald battle tower.

I am going to collect as many Ribbons as i can for every Pokémon from Gale of Darkness.
The only thing that can ever stop me is Bank going down.
They are all currently being EV trained in Emerald.
I won't get all ribbons for all of them, but all of them will get as many as possible.

I'm playing through XD right now as well. I believe you can get a Salac Berry for free at some point. And another challenge nets you about 15,000 pokécoupons — which is how much it costs to buy one of the four "pinch" berries that make good pokéblocks.

I'm playing through XD instead of grinding pokécoupons in Colo.

100 battles on Mt. Battle = 6,900 coupons

Mt. Battle takes about 2 to 3 hours to complete.

So getting 60,000 pokécoupons would take almost 20 - 30 of nonstop grinding on Mt. Battle.

At least by dumping 20+ hours into a new XD save I am beating a game I've never played before.
