I agree with both of these actually. I'm tired of catching pidgey and ratata over and over. Also, I think emerald is really good, but the beginning of the game has some poor pacing IMO. Still my favorite game for nostalgia's sake but it's not the best

Rotom only has any traction because it was surprisingly good in competitive. Rotom is straight up BETTER than Pokémon of its form types with no themating justification; it's just a shitty haunted motor.

multi-use tms were a mistake, a better solution is a postgame shop with all of the tms on sale
gen 8's trs were a step in the right direction but they're all powerful moves, which shouldn't be accessible by tm or tr
shit like earthquake should be reserved for level up moves or breeding, coverage given out by tms and trs should be midgame power at best
