>>46598434I only read up to and including the Emerald Arc, but yeah I'd love a series of OVAs or something about Pokemon Adventures. I love what I've read of the series. The battles are so cool. I love how involved the trainers are and how quick thinking is stressed so heavily, and the way they'd turn into legitimately dangerous struggles when the villains got involved was always exciting. And it definitely feels closest to how I imagined the games playing out in my head when I was a kid. I really wish this series got more attention in the fandom.
Also, I vastly prefer this characterization of Red over the "silent edgelord" that the fandom sees him as.
>>46598662The way people around here call Pokemon Adventures edgy just makes me think that they've never watched anything aimed at an older audience than the Pokemon anime. They always point toward the same two or three violent scenes, which never even approach the sort of stuff that you regularly see in Shounen manga aimed at 10-14 year olds.
