I like them both but what's really a sin is the screentime difference, Togetic appears as a focus in one episode, has one cameo and basically no marketing backing them. Togekiss has a reasonable amount, they should have at least tried to give Togetic some sort of spotlight before it wasn't the final form but they didn't for whatever reason.

At any rate, this isn't new for pokemon, they never shill the whole line of anything except for Eevee. Everything else gets just one member of their line heavily shilled. Do you see a fuck ton of Prinplup or Empoleon merch? No, because it's evolutions suck ass and aren't cute. Charmader gets some shilling, but they don't do shit in regards to charmeleon unless it's just run of the mill Kanto Pandering.

I like Raichu for its overall design, its more aggressive/jealous nature, and its underdog status. Alolan Raichu smoothed all the bumps that makes Raichu a fun or interesting Pokemon and while I appreciate the attempt to give Raichu a fanwank handjob, creating an entirely new mon with a new identity doesn't do much but further ostracize OGChu.
