The only old region to get new megas is Hoenn because its remake was on the same generation the gimmick was introduced. Mega is also basically a different timeline. The cover legends didn't even get new forms or anything.
BRSM are "faithfully reproduced" and "carefully preserved". Anybody expecting anything new is setting themselves up for disappointment. The only thing you should expect is mechanical improvements from the new games.
