I don't think it's a coincidence that Ohmori actually made an okay game when Masuda started stepping back. SwSh wasn't amazing, but it was better than anything he had put out before. Meanwhile Masuda has been on a downward spiral since BW, his baffling logic makes me think he truly hates his own target audience, which given the extreme negative reaction to the games that he poured his heart and SOUL into, might be possible.
If I had to chose one person to axe from Gamefreak I'd say Masuda. If you expand that to GF+TPCI then I'd say Ishihara. That man is a moron and I legit think a big part of why SwSh wasn't better than it was. He's an out of touch boomer that doesn't understand the series he's in charge of or the demographic he's targeting.
