Retard, Pokemon weaknesses apply to the magic elemental energy that attacks use, not the literal thing. Otherwise, Quagsire wouldn't be able to stand on grass.

Anime doesn't apply types most of the time because the writers don't play Pokemon games.
Hence why Charizard always win against water types

Type match-ups do apply in the anime. When Leon's Charizard was hit by Duraludon's Stone Edge, they explicitly said it was super-effective.

They don't need to play the games because Game Freak themselves supervises the anime to ensure that it's accurate to the games.

Not my point. If regular grass was harmful to Pokemon that are weak to Grass attacks, these creatures literally wouldn't be able to live.

It's the same as how Water-weak Pokemon aren't harmed by regular water, because they still have to bathe and drink.

Charizard is at a fundamental disadvantage against water types, but that doesn't mean it'll always lose.
That disadvantage can be overcome by raw power, as shown in the games.
A level 100 Charizard will OHKO a level 1 Magikarp with a fire move.
