Reminder that there is a disassembly on the Pokewalker out there and yet there still isn't a 3ds homebrew app that can communicate with it.

Does anyone on /vp/ still use theirs?

I’m going through HeartGold right now and used it to get some good moms early, like Doduo and Magnemite. Overall it’s good early game but unlocking new courses starts to take forever and the levels stay pretty low. If you do the mystery gift spoofing trick and unlock some of those courses though (particularly Winner’s Path) there are some great unique mons like Beldum.

I'm currently farming pikachus for surf but fucking hell I'm walking 10k a day, I have like 5000W right now on the pokewalker and dozens ok thousands in game but I'm going to give up. 3! encounters are too rare and don't even guarantee catches. And even then it's 50% chance of not getting the right one.
Any tips before I just inject?

I lost mine ages ago, need to pick one up on ebay sooner or later. The same is true of a DS, I've been emulating since X/Y and haven't looked back.

Sadly not, I started a new game after transferring everyone to Y and Bank, so I wasn't even able to keep the Horsea I had on it. I wish I could have, seemed like a based starter

I’ve been going back in HG trying to complete the Pokedex as much as I can without taking from my complete dex from Pearl, so I’ve been using mine to farm rare candies and get some Hoenn Pokemon as I do my runs and exercise.
Also, I still have 3 extra from when my friends all gave me theirs long ago.

just be creative. i use an old fan and a shoelace and optional safety shit and 10min alone generate ~1500 steps. the route with spiritomb needs fucking 2 million steps, so fuck the legit way

I got all courses legit about a year ago, but I accidentally put it in the wash and it broke. Usually tried to manage 10k-15k a day, and focused entirely on the Beautiful Beach course to farm Blue Shards for Kelpsy Berries and Heart Scales for the relearner.
