wtf veepee, you told me this game was bad.
started emulating it this morning and it's honestly comfy as fuck. As for the difficulty, I just limit my party size, don't grind wild battles, and I boxed my starter. I'm having fun and it even looks pretty good visually in a lot of the beginning areas.

This is the most important thing. I steamrolled Shield because I grinded too much. Now I’m playing Sword and am sticking to a LGPE style of play where I only battle wild Pokémon with the intent to catch them. This way, the only ways I’m getting EXP is from catching and trainer battles. Makes a world of difference.

So you agree every Pokemon game is bad? I just swept Norman with lv41 Blaziken in Emerald simply by clicking Double Kick 4 times without him even being able to use an attack the entire battle. And no, I didn't grind, I just played the game normally.

Leon was genuinely hard because I didn't grind at all. Didn't see him being like 10 levels higher then everyone else. Other than that, I mean the game was just too short, too easy, and really once you beat it, you really don't have much to do afterwards. They sorta fixed it the DLC. I still wish they did battle frontier type stuff with isle of armor

Norman's highest level was level 31 of course you're going to sweep with a typing advantage. You're obviously just using 1 pokemon which notoriously leaves pokemon as a boring and easy experience. I mean if you actually used different pokemon and built a team and didn't grind a party of 6 at that point in the game might be late 20s at most.

Nope. This is my team right now, at the beginning of that constant raining route leading up to Fortree after beating Norman and backtracking to all the routes I can Surf on to collect the items I missed.

This series was literally never remotely challenging. Maybe you should try replaying the games and seeing for yourself instead of recalling your memories when you were a dumbass child.

I do this for every game, use NFE shitmons, and I still breeze through the story. Pokémon needs a difficulty slider.
