I hate legendaries after Gen 2. That was when they started being made out of obligation. Filler made to check off a box, just like regional rodents and birds. It was also when they started becoming so bloated that legendary status lost its specialness. "Legendary Pokémon" lost its soul with Gen 3.

Gen 2 legendaries are great, but so were gen 3. The way they integrated into the story was fresh in gen 3, too, and the extras, though not as good as the beasts, were excellent in their own right. It wasn't until gen 4 that they got shitty.

I've also heard Lugia wasn't meant to be in the game to start with and was just a movie mon but idk if that's a meme also

>Deoxys
>Giratina
>the crystal swan bitch
>Darkrai
>Genies
>Genesect
>Meloetta
>Queer Deer and Yveltal
>UB-40
>Necrozma / Lion / Bat (but not the fusion forms theyre gay)

All the other ones are forgettable and or very stupid (Sword and Shield wolves are the biggest fail ever)

In general, the box legendaries. Yes they "check the box" but most are generally good concepts. I think there's a case to be made for most, if not all of them. But the non box legendaries, I tend to agree. Some are good designs and concepts, some are just garbage (looking at the Swords of Justice and Forces of Nature especially)

You shut your whore mouth! Gen 3 legends were fucking boss. Hidden ruins puzzle regis, fucking gods of land and sea that actually play into the story. Wandering jetplane dragons. Even the mythicals tied in with the space station lore and resulted in mew under the truck levels of rumors.

And gen 4 legends had soul too but that's when the shitty fat cats took over and locked everything behind events to line their pockets with cash.

The other legendaries should be restricted purely for lore purposes and should not be obtainable, catchable, or seem to really play up their mythical natures. Or in some cases like the mythicals that were made just for to be a mythical: demoted to Zoroark/Lucario status.
