Bianca doesn't quite qualify, it's more that she didn't want to go that far. She did beat all 8 gyms, but her heart just wasn't in it. It's basically her entire character arc, and probably the best written part of BW. Like, I get people like to jerk off the game's writing, and it does have more going on than most Pokemon games, but it's also not that great aside from Bianca's story.
