This image seems outdated, since they did two waves of patching in old Pokemon to coincide with the DLC. It's not unreasonable to expect the rest later this year with BDSP.

They should just get to 1000 for gen 9, make them all available. Then when gen 10 comes around, fresh start. A fresh new 150, or 151, Pokemon, but that's it. None of the previous gen Pokemon allowed.

They don't want me so they make the single player experience shit so that casuals can't get filtered by it
but they also want me to stick around by putting in effort into the multiplayer and making it easier to get into so that more people can play.

Good.
but honestly it depends on how they do it. If the next gen was a hard reboot of the franchise coming out after SwSh, then yes it would kill the series. If we got the "ultimate Pokemon game" that's somewhat along the lines of PokeMMO/Smash Ultimate (minus the MMO features), then no it wouldn't.

No, anon, that defeats the point. The point is not to bring them back at all, except for side stuff. It's basically a reboot. That way they don't have to deal with a huge amount of Pokemon, and no one will complain their shitmon no one used didn't get included. Well they'll still complain, but for different reasons.

Even the words
"I want the game's quality to match their profits"
makes people seethe because it only exasterbates the patheticly lazy and anti-consumer business practices that GF are pulling.
The prospect of the next Pokemon games should have people thinking "what are they gonna add?" not "what is GF gonna cut this time".
