>>46659497>You can't pretend your brand is for children when you include sexual languageThat's the thing anon. Pokemon doesn't pretend that they're brand is exclusively "for kids." Why do you think you see a lot of adults in the game promos, reveals, etc. Look at the recent Pokemon 25th anniversary livestream and you will see what I'm talking about. That little montage of the franchise through out the years includes adults. If they were a brand "for kids" than there would be very little to no adults shown in their marketing consuming the products. Pokemon is, like most "geek culture" things nowadays like Star Wars, Harry Potter, DC, Marvel, etc. is a lifestyle brand. Plus Nintendo is a family friendly brand. You are conflating "family friendly" marketing and signalling with being "for kids" which is not even remotely the same thing. And btw, if Pokemon were really "for the kids" all of these remakes and nostalgia pandering and would literally not be a thing. /vp/ wouldn't even exist since 4chan is basically a porn website. But hey, people are generally aware that adults like Pokemon too. The TPC is VERY aware of they're adult audience. And sure, I'm willing to believe a vast majority of their adult audience doesn't consume their products for adult content, but at the end they are still adults and adults have vastly different tastes than children even in their family friendly products. So Nintendo, and subsequently Pokemon, HAVE to market to lowest common denominator. And guess what, the lowest common denominator is aware abd consume popular music, which just so happens to be what Post Malone and "sex tho" is.
Plus didn't it come out that more adults consume Nintendo products than kids?
