I rarely minded the male designs. They look cool and masculine like they should for anyone who would already lean more towards picking the boy trainer. I feel like, if anything, leaning more towards the "cool" aspect would start approaching edgy territory and I personally wouldn't want that, but that's just my opinion. Maybe the only exception would be the boy trainer from Sw/Sh since his design looks the most plain and boring though one could say that has a charm of it's own.
