Been playing this for the first time in years on my Wii U (injects rule), and holy shit.

This game is still pretty great. Childhood memories plus all of the little comfy details GF threw in. Gen 3 truly was something special.

I think the game truly shines when you have a couple of other gen 3 games and can do some trading and breeding, the frontier is one of the few times pre-online multiplayer you get to use your mons for battling for something in the postgame other than just the sake of battling
working on getting a couple of things like Blastoise and Snorlax for the sake of options + hunt for some random shinies
