Someone please post the starter trio that leaked right before legends was announced. With the sloth and hyena. Either it was a high effort fake or a extremely beta video for investors/partners.

I loved them and if the real ones are anywhere near as good I'll be happy.

I'm usually not negative when it comes to Pokemon designs, but yeah. Gen 8 was just so boring with it's starters and the designs looked clunky.

Makes Gen 5 and 7 look godtier in comparison.

I personally really like the Gen 7 pokemon we actually got. Alola forms were such a mixed bag. I just don't get how Gen 7 pokemon and characters were so strong but Gen 8 was so shabby.

I don't forsee there being a gen 9, there's just gonna be a new pokemon game with a handful of new and returning pokemon, and they're gonna start concentrating on shit that matters like gameplay, world design, and story instead of shitting out a billion merchandise bait designs.

We said this about gen 5 (yes people like them now, but they were memed when they leaked). Then we said the same about gen 6.
I'll give gen 7 a pass because they seem to be the most "liked" trio since gen 4, although I still hate them all.

The game is half double battles half single, adding much more diversity to what Pokémon players might want to use. Something like this would certainly help VGC as a side effect as well
