This route kind of bores me, but I think the weakest routes in the game are the ones to the right of Fuschia, ending at around the bird fence route. By that point in the game the fun stuff is always ahead and it always struck me as filler

It's better but I still prefer my monochrome screen so I can pretend the tall grass is dried and golden colored. I have no solid reasoning for doing so but it's how I imagined it as a kid and continue to do so when I replay gen 1.
