I know this is bait or even some weird attempt to get ideas for a team but ground type has the best pokemon.
Sandslash, the Nidos, Dugtrio, Marowak, Gliscor, Quagsire, Steelix, Mamoswine, Swampert, Camerupt, Rhydon, Whiscash, Flygon, Garchomp, Krookodile, and Hippowdon are all great pokemon.

Cool ones. But even though my favorites are dominated by cool Pokémon and a lot of popular choices, I don't like cool/popular Ground-types like Garchomp or Excadrill. And I know Mamoswine, Steelix and Donphan are Ground but they rank so low among my favorites that I'm very content just appreciating their designs without actually using them.

Everything and their mother can learn Earthquake, and there's three (3) separate abilities that grant immunity to Electric.
