My team was just Sceptile, Pelipper, and some HM slaves. I got to Glacia and she pushed my shit in so hard that I gave up on the game despite being so close to the end.

My Infernape from Pearl. I wanted to name him something offensive, but my family would watch me play, so I named him "#@?!", inspired by how comic books censor expletives. He had Fire Blast, Close Combat, Shadow Claw and Rock Climb, with a Naughty nature. He was also overleveled, I remember him hitting level 80 during the Cynthia fight.

I wanted a charmander but I didn't really understand what was going on since I was used to action games and skipped a lot of the dialogue, ended up picking the first pokemon I walked up to.

Was pretty bummed out about it until it evolved,. Ivysaur was the first pokemon I ever saw, on pic related. I somehow didn't know Bulbasaur would become this, I wasn't familiar with pokemon evolution yet, so I was very happy to see that little bad ass that made me curious about the series in the first place.

Sadly, it evolved again and I was very disappointed with how much uglier it was. Especially once I used it in Pokemon Stadium and it got those bloodshot eyes.

this. also a spheal from a hackrom (BlueSea) my dad bought because he didn't know at the time (this was in the Philippines, if that makes sense).
next most recent was a Turtwig and a Starly, some others, then a Bulbasaur

I can't remember much about the Spheal but the rival chose Trapinch and I would always spam Sheer Cold. The whooshing sound was very soothing to my ears and still is. The Turtwig became a Torterra and also the game (Pearl) would freeze whenever you got to Fantina and she would say "Ohoho". Much later I played it on a ROM and it was much better there. Torterra knew Earthquake and Staravia knew Fly, after that I can't remember

Oh and also also a Pikachu and a Squirtle in PMD: Rescue Team Blue, which was before Pearl.

Moveset was Surf, Waterfall, Hydro Pump, Hydro Cannon. I found out that the pink thing near the name meant it was female so I restarted the game. Remember a couple of days before this that my older sister called me a loser for havinf 160 hours of play on that save.

Fully evolved by Vermillion City, no other Pokémon because I didn’t read how to catch one. Restarted my game after I got poisoned and thought my game was glitching out due to overworld poison effect

Fuck.....Um...It was a Blastoise named Killer. I raised it to 85 or so. It knew blizzard, hydro pump, fissure, and reflect I think? I lost it to a save error on stadium 2 because missingno will fuck with stadium. Fuck you missingno.

What makes you think that? I didn't care about Pokemon when I was a kid despite being the right age when pokemania was huge, but when GO came out the hype was real and I finally got sucked in. When I first booted the app I was wasn't invested at all, just wanted to see why everyone wouldn't shut up about it, and I didn't have any attachment to my starter. So when I got lucky a few weeks later and caught a stronger Squirtle I transferred my first one for extra candy. No remorse.
