Honestly when it comes to the Horse starter is only seems to have two popular outcomes - either you get the Fire/Flying alicorn people wanted Rapidash to be, or a centaur.

Unicorns are rad but we've had a bunch of them already, and I've never seen a centaur Pokemon design I liked.

I think it's a bit bland for a starter but a Fire type hippo who lives in flows of lava would be a decent concept.
