it would probably be the last straw that pushes me away from the franchise for good, honestly. already at the point of fence-sitting indifference. i guess it'd be ok if it was a good humanoid evo rather than a shitty fursona with an outfit, profession, and doodads slapped all over it.

Depends on what you mean by humanoid. There's are pokemon that are "humanoid" in the sense that they're bipedal but that's about it since pretty much everything else is non-human. If you mean making them like some of the digimon, that is very human like, than that's a big yikes from me.
