Honestly? I want them to look at mythological creatures from whatever region they go to, then design Pokémon forms around explaining those myths. For example, a dark-type luxray with a reduced or even no mane to represent the black cat myths, a water-type rapidash for a kelpie, etc.

Yeah, in non-Kanto games. Notice how FRLG blocked crossgen evos from happening before the postgame and how LGPE even removed them along with every other Pokemon from the game lol.

They’re clearly examples as seen at the top of the column. Learn how to read.

It’s a canon thing. It’s used to distinguish the “minor” legendaries like the Birds, Beasts, Regis, & Lake Trio from the major ones like box arts and Mewtwo. That’s how they separate the two in the code.
