I'm about to pick up where I left off.

I just snagged a ROM of Emerald that has all Pokemon from Generations 1, 2 and 3.
I need some cool tips or tricks for my play through.
I will more than likely be building my team with the following types unless convinced otherwise.
>Dark
>Ghost
>Fairy
>Dragon

As to why I'm picking up where I left off
>Red Completed in 1999
>Gold Completed in 2000
>Crystal Completed in 2001
>Ruby Completed in 2002
>Played Emerald for 15 minutes and dropped it
>Leaf Green Completed in 2004
After that I just stopped caring until I found the Clover Version hack which brought me back to some other classic ROMs.
I decided that I want to complete Emerald Version since I never gave it a real try after being disappointed with Ruby.
Once I finish Emerald I'll probably move onto BD Version.
