Diamond and Pearl seem to get called shitty while Platinum is called one of the best games in the series, so how did Platinum fix DP's flaws? How did it improve pokemon distribution, the post game, speed, and other shit? What even are DP's flaws other than the aforementioned stuff?

Mostly not. The story is still garbage, the distribution is still garbage, the map design is still garbage, the engine and the performance is still garbage. The only worthwhile thing they added is the BF.

It helped a little with things like tue expanded dex, but it's not as much if an improvement as Sinnoh fans like to think. At most it goes from DP being bad to Plat being okay.
