i love bug types and do a few mono-bug runs across different games and their remakes. gen 5 is the most satisfying in terms of variety of bug dual typings that are good. the remakes of older gens in general are a lot better because bug types got some big upgrades, the most notable being quiver dance and the leech life buff is incredible, especially because it ended up meaning bug types that learned it earlier such as kricketune now get something such as absorb instead which is great early coverage. sinnoh is probably the most frustrating just because half the bug types are only available from honey trees and that whole mechanic is terrible, it should instantly find an encounter when you play honey and just make honey either rarer or more expensive
