It can't reach back and scrub its ass in a shower, it's going to lick itself clean with its tongue like a dog does. We've already seen this behavior(not literally licking its own asshole but you get what I mean) in various forms of Pokemon-related media so it's canon.
I am not putting my tongue near the mouth of anything that licks itself clean. Human mouths are already disgusting enough.
