My ex refused to use a pokemon unless it was female and would make up harem fantasies and personalities for each one. He even wanted to fuck the legends. I bred him a perfect iv male chestnaught once and had to beg him to use him. He told me he was making him the bodyguard of his harem. I'm pretty sure he either secretly pretended that one was gay or neutered. He refuses to play new gens unless he can have a full team he deems harem worthy.

And the character selection is huge since so many mons are bangable . Wish I could find a guy or girl to do that with again but I'm a fat mom now so my chances are not good haha. I'll probably make a kik one day and see if the RP groups are still up.

I don't know about personalities, maybe a little but I don't create a character sheet for them.
But yeah I sure do celebrate when they pull off extraordinary feats. On my most recent HG run, my shiny Kingler was the last one alive against Lance, he had half his health, dodged Dragonite's Dragon Rush and then critical hit Return to KO Dragonite and make us champions.
And that's on top of all the "luck" I had before, which is not luck but the power of friendship.
