it is an underrated offensive typing because most flying legends don't get good offensive flying type moves
flying is basically pre-nerf Dragon, defensively it's insane with a resistance to fight and immunity to ground, two of the best offensive types

Because for 3 generations, it was a joke of a type due to most of the moves being very low BP and most of the mons (sand a few dragons) not having high offensive stats. It has an insanely good offensive presence once you get good moves to use for it.
