No I'm not a competitivefag, I don't believe pokemon games should be based around multiplayer, however all of the games should appeal to It's original playerbase: nerds and shut-ins
Only normalfags actually enjoy pressing buttons fast instead of making strategies to beat their opponents
I also believe all games should have random encounters, not having them makes encountering rare pokemon lose all It's fun
