Someone mind telling me why people dicksuck these games again?
>Didn't enjoy BW1 so I skipped BW2 when they came out
>Years later decide maybe I was being too harsh, pick up a copy of W2 on eBay
>Start playing through it this weekend
>Over halfway in and hate it
I genuinely don't see the appeal. Here are my gripes thus far:
>I'm 6 badges in and have only seen Team Plasma like 3 times, two of which was just some bumbling grunts and once on their ship which they promptly kicked us out of, they haven't done fucking anything yet
>The rest of the game has just been me gathering badges with ZERO story narrative
>Unova has fuck all for exploration so I can't even enjoy the lack of narrative by adventuring
>Pokemon distribution is better than it was in BW1 but the available options still suck and it hasn't been enjoyable to build a team at all
>Hugh is a boring rival and they've given me zero reason at all to care about his sister's stupid cat that got stolen when she was literally a baby
>Constant references to the BW protagonist even though I already know they aren't in the game which feels dumb as fuck
>God I'm sick of these animated sprites, I wish they had just stuck with static ones.
>Pokestar studios and join avenue were fucking dumb and the fact that the game forced me to at least try them was stupid.
>Oh cool I can finally get a Zorua. Except it's locked into a specific nature, has to be male, and I can't nickname it or get my hands on a Ditto to breed my own. Thanks Gamefreak. And no I'm not a furry, they get the rope.

I will say the music is good though, some of these tracks have been absolute bangers. That isn't enough to carry a whole fucking game though.
