>>46716681Gen 6 was the first time I bothered actually breeding. This is when the Destiny Knot was changed to pass on IVs from parents, and Hidden Abilities were made MUCH easier to pass down. The Ability Capsule was introduced here too.
Building up a team didn't take too long, maybe only a few hours.
Then Gen 7 introduced Hyper Training and you just had less reason to breed Pokemon other than for the right Nature or for a Hidden Ability.
And now Gen 8 introduced Nature changing Mints, and annoyingly only in the DLC, the Hidden Ability changing Ability Patch.
It may as well be pointless to breed now unless you need an Egg move or you like a shiny palette.
But Gen 1-5? Wouldn't even think of breeding for perfect Pokemon, maybe the correct Nature, but I'd rather just inject lol.
