For me personally it feels like remakes have had less value as time has gone on. FRLG and HGSS were great but that's because people who gave a shit were working on them. Masuda still had passion back then and Morimoto has always been based.
These are modern remakes being developed by a Chinese company with fucking modern day Masuda (of all people's) input. Keep in mind the last game that fucker directed was Let's Go.
We've seen Platinum elements are likely to make a comeback in some form but who knows if it'll be worth a damn.
It'll just be DP with additional items, an 11 hour campaign with a 2 hour post game story due to how easy Pokemon is nowadays (it always has been but it's way way easier today) and mandatory EXP Share.
Also holy fuck the Battle Scenes look garbage.
