Because it's not a "robot suit fighter" style game kid, everything they create they at least consider how it would impact their world as a living creature. Hell, they even have "robot" pokémon, they're still fucking treated as living individual creatures so unless you can think of a feasible way to create a living mecha, we likely won't get a mecha pokémon as that just sounds retarded.

As someone who likes both Pokemon and Digimon, I think most Digimon media is pretty much just trash.

Like sure, Pokemon quality rarely spikes past a certain baseline but at least that baseline is at a decent level.

Digimon very frequently ends up falling flat on its face and ends up resorting to Adventure pandering again and again and again.

Bandai never marketed their products properly outside Japan
in fact, they didn't want to localize CyberSleuth until a fan demand was big enough for them to change their mind.

Bandai doesn't want Digimon to be as big as Pokemon, they are just happy selling kits in Japan and that's it.

Digimon's struggle is like the opposite of Pokemon's. Where core Pokemon is often criticized for not changing enough, Digimon is constantly experimenting, only for its new ideas to fall flat. Nothing has ever been as successful as the old days. So for the past few years they've just been pumping out Adventure content. It's kind of sad to watch, actually.

The Kalos region would have to be proven to be an objectively superior landscape to Unova for that to be true. Just like Unova being new to BW doesn't make them an objective improvement over HG/SS or Platinum.

Blastoise has digimon-tier mech design. It goes from squirrel turtle, to slightly bigger squirrel turtle to Tortoise-tank-cannon hybrid out of nowhere and its mega is essentialy a tank.
