Pretty middle of the road. Very iconic. Gen 1 is the kind of gen where the designs either really stand out or are really bland. It's 7/10. Just good enough.

Still my favorite roster in the franchise, I don't care what others say, still don't understand why it's considered "cool" the hate on the og 151

Probably my favorite dex, followed shortly by Hoenn and then Unova at a distant third. I'm sad the Kanto remakes never add more Pokemon to the regional dex, though.

I like them overall. I don't have the nostalgia factor, because I grew up after RBY (my first game was Pearl on the DS). I think gen 1 sometimes suffers from not doing enough with the designs. It's as if they're happy to just stylise the animal it's based on, rather than take it in an interesting direction.

My favourite is Gengar. I don't have any design that I reflexively hate, but I'm pretty tired of Charizard pandering, so I guess that's my least favourite.
