The feminists were the worst in trying to remove yaoi from the internet because it represented gender roles by having a strong pitcher and weak whiny catcher. They started trying to get only gay creators recognized as artists of the genre even though BL outsells absolutely everything. As if projecting as a man in a comic is less holy than projecting as a man irl. The seeds were always there ready to sprout.
