SM did this last one really well, they limited themselves to certain instruments and styles for each battle theme, and it worked really well to give each theme a fitting identity e.g. Solgaleo/Lunala theme using synths and the dorian mode to create an upbeat, not too serious, but not too happy vibe, Team Skull's battle themes using hip hop drums, filters and vinyl effects to make it sound like it's playing out of portable speakers, gives Team Skull a more personal touch and makes them more relatable, the trainer theme using the signature Masuda mixolydian mode to make it nice and joyful, with the temporary modulation to minor to keep things interesting etc.
