There's also the incel-to-troon pipeline that exists. Many socially-delayed men enter adulthood with a lack of understanding of how relationships work, so they end up lost and blame society. This makes them vulnerable to both each other and troomers.
To add some nuance, I'm not saying being in-touch with childhood is a bad thing. It's the obsession with childhood that is unhealthy. (I'm not sure if C. S. Lewis actually said this, but I think it's a decent argument nonetheless.)
There's also the midlife crisis troons who have wives and children, so there are multiple causes for trooning out, especially stress-related ones from trolling.
