If you really loved your Pokémon you'd rather not have to delete them all when wanting to replay the game than giving them a stupid nickname that they could have without being spelt in-game.

I agree in their decision, back in gen1-3
nowadays memory is a lot more cheaper and abundant, so there is actually no reason for keeping the "one save per game" stuff

Why is the one save per account per game still a thing now? They could put in a block that prevents essentially cloning Pokemon and items with the extra saves .

To be fair, there's also the issue of trading Pokemon to take into account with this. Game Freak wanted the series to have a social aspect to it from the beginning, so maybe they saw separate saves also being a detriment towards that end.

They probably do it now since they know people will buy a second gam to store their mons. They even made an actual game for the purpose of doing nothing but that (Pokemon Box) and Pokemon Home is similar I think but I never touch the newer stuff.

Though the concentrated autism of contrarianism brought a lot of spergs here I think people deep down know they would like to try the tory again with different teams as part of the appeal of Pokemon is making a different team each run. Nicknames are stupid and hardly ever used and used only by Jewtubers and before the censor in gen5 people who thought it would be funny to name wonder trades "Assface"

I know you're probably being a retard on purpose, but no one in their right mind would ever think that fucking nicknames of all things should be a priority over extra saves, especially in a game like Pokemon where some of the major choices are permanent and completely change how you approach a run.
Not like you could transfer your beloved Pokemon past gen 2 back then anyway.
