Honestly, the movement issues weren't that bad compared to how slow you moved during the rest of the game. The awful foggy part of 210 was worse.

They're just little bonuses if and when you come back to revisit the route while you're playing. Not everyone rushes through a Pokemon game and then stops playing it after they beat the Champion. I can't believe you would be this assmad about it.
