My autistic symptoms are explained by a lifetime of being teased, laughed at, ignored, bullied, and mocked for the same thing from everyone, friends, family, strangers, so I became a loner. Unfortunately, in seventh grade, when sports and other activities opened up, I realized I was to scared to be in front of people, shame and embarrassment keeping me from being outgoing. My social skills are, eh? I can make friends easy, but all people do is make me feel like shit about myself, so I resigned myself to isolation, preferring it to the laughter, mockery, lack of respect, and being able to achieve less than a normy. Now, I kill time with hobbies and alcohol while I wait for the day to kill myself.
