The game is an experiment to see if the 900 pokemon are really worth trademarking and designing. Basically it's an alternate world where the only pokemon in existence is Pikachu, and you must battle and capture its 150 variants. Previous special pikachu like the cosplay, hat and partner are ignored in favor of an Earthbound-esque take on type variation derived from the surfing and flying pikachu, such as:
- Vanillachu: The default and your starter. Does whatever a pikachu can.
- Shortschu: A spunky lil one whose expression screams comfy.
- Skirtchu: Although vulnerable to upskirts, her furious retaliation is to be feared.
- Safechu: Carries a stop-n-go sign to enforce traffic safety.
- Teacchu: A passionate educator with a paper fan and a language barrier.
- Gruntchu: A troublemaker, its eyes are obscured by its oversized beret.
- Bluechu: Box mascot of its namesake game, it sports blue fur with yellow cheeks. When its cheeks inflate, mighty thunder roars and causes untold destruction.
- Redchu: Box mascot of its namesake game, it sports red fur with yellow cheeks. When it curls into a ball, it becomes an unstoppable lightning ball that can break through anything.
