>>46755338Nothing wrong with fanmade Pokemon games, a lot of them are actually better than the actual games Nintendo releases these days. Not only do they generally stick to the superior 2D format, but they have original fakemon rather than Nintendo releasing very similar Pokemon every generation (generic bird and bug pokemon, zubat and wubat, pikachu clones etc.) Also the fan games tend to be released for PC while Nintendo stubbornly only releases for their own consoles when almost no other developers release games only for one platform unless it's a really big one like PC or mobile. They stubbornly try to increase console sales when PC is the superior platform. We should just consider all official Pokemon games after they switched to 3D to be spinoffs and consider the current fangames to be the real generation 8. Pokemon Uranium is great, Pokemon Azurite will be great and there are so many other good fangames out there too. Of course since anyone who can use rpgmaker can make one there will always be shit ones letting the rest down but most are good.
