Reduce multihit moves to one solid animation that plays x time instead the one with long waoting between actions
Only long moves need to be the strong ones (+100power) to show power.
Most of todays attacks suck as they are too fast and has no propper impact

God, yes. Wtf does it need to go through each Pokemon healing when you have Grassy Terrain up? Just show the messages all at once, or a single message 'Pokemon on the field were healed.' Text-bloat and staggered information is one of the worst things about these games.

I think the idea of dodge animations would be cool. Like instead of a block of text just saying “so and so missed” it showed what ever mon avoided the attack using 1 of 3 different animations that show it dodging. I think it’s a realistic change if gf put in any fucking effort. It adds a bit more realism to fighting, adds more character to the Pokémon and really isn’t that much work

As it stands, you might as well be teleported into a pocket dimension whenever a battle starts. The battles feel disconnected from the world as a result. Having battles start seamlessly would be a lot more immersive.

Because there needs to be a separation from the minute-to-minute environments and the intricacies of the pokemon battle menu. A better background system and better animations are on thing, but putting the battle engine into the overworld is the same as asking for the battle engine complexity to be stripped down. See: every ATB real-time RPG made in the last ten years.

Play on an emulator and set the speed up for battles. I mean most modern JRPGs have this as a normal options.

Also at least for the story, more than 4 moves and more team battles. The main game ends up being have good coverage and ignoring a lot of team moves which cuts out so much variety. Competitive play could still be restricted, and on that topic make gyms and areas have their own weird rules.
