2) Dragons and Dark types are popular and Fairy is a weakness to both of those types. Dragon was previously the prestigious type due to its only weakness outside of Dragon being Ice and everyone knows how many weaknesses Ice has.
3) Most fairy types are slow. Urshifu who isn't all that fast can potentially outspeed and OHKO them with Iron Head or Poison Jab.
