>>46759818Emeralds pokemon distribution is truly god-tier and really helps with replayability. The last three times I've played through it I had not one pokemon that was the same other than maybe an HM slave. The outstanding variety is very unlike the gens right before and after it. Aggron, Rhydon, Ninetails, Raichu, Skarmory, Crobat, Tropius, Manetric, Kadabra, Gyarados, Walrein, Tentacruel, Camerupt, Heracross, Gardevoir, Xatu, Ninjask, Shiftry, Breloom, Exploud, Dodrio, Sharpedo, Sandslash, Flygon, Altaria, Whiscash, Crawdaunt, the fossils which are actually feasible to use on your team since you can get and revive them relatively early in the game at level 20 when your team is around the mid 20s, Absol, Donphan, Lanturn, and more are all great mons.
Being able to explore so many different places at different times is also great and maximum comfy, I could choose to go to Sootopolis long before or after Archie awakens Kyogre, and long before or after that explore Shoal cave or the abandoned ship or the Mt. Pyre resting place or the desert and mirage tower or the entire water part of the map much of it fleshed out including the South West or maybe go diving for items or some shards to give the treasure hunter or catch some mons in the safari zone or go back to the Devon president after doing his favor to find that he has an exp share to reward me with or collect ash for glass items or do the New Mauville side quest or fiddle with secret bases or triumph over the trick house or go back to my mom to find that she has new dialogue and an amulet coin gift after progressing further through the game or win some contests or pick or plant some berries or skip Winoa or Brawly if I don't feel like facing them or go back and explore any new areas that are opened up all at my leisure.
