Soul Silver's animations are pretty good. There aren't a lot of them but you can tell they wanted them to look good. Lugia flying above water is so nostalgic and pretty. Honestly DS game animations are underrated

Yep. I'm also glad that the animations are quick instead of being pointlessly 5 seconds longer than they need to be so I can actually enjoy the game.

Some animations like death animation are unnecessary and way better done in SwSh but there are tons of animations that could take NO (0) time if integrated properly.
SwSh should do everything 100x better than a 16 year old spin off, and yet it does mostly worse.

Are people really this bothered by "slow animations"? I'd rather watch a slow animation that's entertaining to look at than a fast one that's boring and lifeless.
It's not like the animations in the GameCube games are that long anyway.

every battle in colloseum carried its weight, and was a real BATTLE you´d watch. Rather than having 10 quick battles against 1-pokemon trainers, i rather have a slow battle that feels like the ones in the series, where you think, plan ahead and cheer when you win, instead of one-shotting everything like in SwSh
