Not sure if you are aware but HxH being extremely deep is a meme. It is unironically deeper than 95% of anime and 99% of other shonens but that is a very low bar. In general it's just a way to defend something they like

Electric Tail of Pikachu is a manga adaptation of the anime that very loosely follows the plot and it's character, sexualizing many of the characters (i.e the women) and has this weird 'capture rating' including some other deviations from the anime.
