Me and my friend in grade school had no idea what the fuck was happening in our games. We didn't know what shinies were so we called them "blessed" pokemon because of the animation that played when you encountered one (Jirachi was big back then too).
My friend moved away but a few months later I received a hand written letter from him telling me about how he encountered a blessed pokemon of his own.
I love that fuckin Tentacool more than the team of shiny Greninja I farmed in X and I'll be paying $$$ to keep him in a home box for the rest of my life.
