>>46771224Because the design is bad. It's just a person dressed-up as a pokemon. Not even other anthros like Mr. Mime, Jynx, the Hitmon's, etc. are as humanized as this. None of them have realistic hair or non-animalistic/monstrous facial features. This is literally just a teen girl strapped onto a horse body - an actual centaur, without any real attempt to make it a pokemon - without any implication that it's a monster or animal beyond being a literal centaur.

None of that addresses the stupid purple thing that's there for reasons I cannot imagine beyond the artist thinking, "WOULDNT IT BE COOL IF...?!" It can already make arrows out of what I am assuming is a fire mane. It makes a bow out of what I'm assuming is fire or something. Why does it also need a metal gear solid alert signal expy psychic/ghost power thing? What purpose does that serve, at all, other than to port Rapidash into a psychic/fire centaur? I mean, I know, because the artist is making it obvious - it's there to be cute, and after the fact, shit I have to justify why this exists. It's not good enough that it's literally just a person, and can express itself with it's hands an completely human facial features and numerous completely human facial expressions - it also needs the physical embodiment of a those kanji used to express sounds and motions in a manga, because this artist couldn't detach their design away from, "WOULDN'T IT BE COOL IF...?!" or "WOULDN'T IT BE CUTE IF...?!"
It's not designed to actually be a pokemon. It's designed to be someone's personal idea of cute/cool.
